This will be my last post prior to the launch of the new Humphrey CD at 11.0am on Sunday I'm sure it will be a huge success as the images and stamps are really beautiful.

My sneak peek is of a baby card using shaped toppers.

I have made a gatefold double pop out with a card inside.

New Humphrey Stamps

Today my Humphrey sneek peek is of a card made using one of the 12 new stamps in the range, called Just Catching Up.

The image was stamped onto Neenah card and coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.

The backing paper was from the Humphrey Allsorts CD. The mat and corners are cut from Coordination card.

Satin Ribbon a few flowers and a couple of swirls complete the design.










The insert is a complementary design and also from the Allsorts CD. I love the fact that 8x8 inserts are so easy with Crafters Companion CD's.

I think he has a real winner on his hands as the cards that his "Angels" ( as he nicknamed the design team) have created have been colourful, varied and yes amazing.

The images are so lovely and cover a real variety of occasions.

HUMPHREY CD LAUNCH

I haven't blogged for a few days as I have been making samples for this fabulous little character.

( Oh I did have one day off at Sheena Douglass's workshop, it was great and we made some beautiful projects.)

Anyway back to Humphrey.

This CD covers a year in the life of this little elephant so there are lots of occasions that are covered.

This baby card uses one of the image sheets and some little tags left over from another project.   

The card is 6x6 and I added a concertina to the side and using a border strip made pockets for the tags.

A band of card goes around the back of the card and fastens with a small strip of velcro

This CD is crammed with really lovely images and there are also 12 stamps to accompany the disc. I will post one of those tomorrow.

Today my card is a bright and cheerful birthday card from the A-May-Zing CD from Nigel May.

Four squares of backing paper were matted onto a red 6x6 card.

I used a card companion for the main focal point.

I glazed the balloons for  dimension amd also  2 of the embellishments on the companion sheet.

Peel Offs were used for the numbers.

The finishing touches were using narrow velvet ribbon and some of the paper beads in a matching design. These are a lovely new feature on this CD.

A-May-Zing Papers

Todays card from Nigel May's CD uses 3 of the gorgeous backing papers.

Panels across the card are edged with satin ribbon,and a lace border is punched from one of the papers using a Martha Stewart punch.

I used the blank mat from one of the shaped toppers to form the centre greeting which was embossed.

The flowers were made using the same paper as the lace panel and glittered with Stickles Diamond 

A couple of tags  and a bit more ribbon complete the look.

How A-May-Zing is this CD

Hi Everyone.
Today my post is of a card made using the new CD which is being released by Nigel May on the 19th April on Create and Craft.

The CD is bright and modern and covers so many occasions, and is so craftable.

My card uses my favorite design on the CD.

I printed a large topper onto vellum which I then embossed on the rear picking out the design. I used torn edges down both sides to give detail and matted the topper onto pink card.

I trimmed back an 8x8 card and lined the inside of the card with some of the gorgeous backing papers.
I covered the front of the card with the same paper before adding the topper.

Using a Sakura glitter pen I added detail to the flowers in the design. The result is stunning and this picture does not really do it justice.

Also on the CD are shaped strips of papers which make paper beads, I threaded them onto ribbon and added a few flowers.

I added the extra small toppers down the edge and a greeting to the front.

Inside the card I added a A5 topper which I overprinted with a verse from the CD.

I love this card and I hope you do to.

Four Legged Challenge

This is my first Design Team Challenge card, so if this is your first time we can be brave together.
My card is based around an adorable Humphrey stamp, coloured with Spectrum Noir pens on Neenah card.
I didn’t used to like my coloured images but the more I use these pens the happier I am with the finished results.

The frames were cut using the Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge out of Coordinations card, so were the Turq layer of the flowers.

Well I had a wonderful time at the NEC with my partner in crime Louise Welsh.
We helped on the Crafters Companion stand on Thursday, I demo'd the darice embossing folders then we shopped till we dropped on Friday.

Here are some cards I made using the Darice folders that Louise had on Create and Craft on Friday

The first 3 use the star frame folder.                                               I used Luminart daubers on the inside of the folder and then put Neenah card inside. Depending on which side you put the colour determines whether the stars are embossed or debossed.

These 2 are on Coordination card sanded back.

This one I cut out the centre panel and lined with acetate then mounted it on foam to give a shaker card look. I then sprayed the card with Silver Spray and Sparkle.






My favorite folder was the 12" butterfly border, it is beautiful and I loved the look I achieved on different papers.

This is a 12" DL card made using Centura pearl card. This gives a beautiful finish.
I repeated the design on the insert and then tinted the design with inks. 

This was my favorite sample.
A C5 gatefold, around a C5 card  (slightly trimmed). The panels were embossed onto Coordinations card.
I embossed the full 12 " then sanded it back to reveal the design.

The part I cut off I used to cut out the design to make the topper.     I repeated the design on satin paper for the insert

 This card was embossed onto Vellum and trimmed with Pearls, then mounted over Coordination card trimmed with velvet ribbon
